My path into this world was not through an AI course or a sales deck. It came from building, getting things wrong and seeing how quickly a good business can become hard to run when every important job lives in someone’s head.

How I got here

It wasn’t a straight line into this work.

A few years ago, I spent months building an events-hire business. Then Melbourne’s lockdowns stopped the whole thing almost as soon as it started. I moved into marketing, running campaigns for clients, because it was the work I knew how to do.

But the bit that kept pulling me back was never the ads. It was what happened after: where an enquiry went, why a follow-up got missed, and how much pressure a solid system could take off a team’s plate. That is where I found the work I am best at.

The shift

The hard lessons gave me a better filter.

I’ve had the version of business where the numbers looked great, then fell off a cliff. I’ve made stupid bets. I’ve lost projects because the follow-up lived in my head instead of a system. Those lessons are why I care about businesses that do not rely on someone remembering every little thing.

Stacked Digital grew out of that. The tools change, but the method stays the same: understand the work first, then choose the right way to support it.

How I think

Direct enough to say when something is not worth building.

I like practical people, clear conversations and systems with a reason to exist. If a job should stay manual, I’ll say that. If there is a genuine bottleneck, I want to understand the people and process around it before offering a solution.

The standard is not an impressive demo. It is whether the work gets easier, the team can use it and the business is less dependent on one person holding everything together.
